The first day. Okay, so I am just going to say it...."It feels just like yesterday I was putting him on the bus for the very first day of kindergarten"...And, today, it is fifth grade.

Fourth grade for her...(just in case you couldn't tell by the four fingers she insisted on holding up)

And, the first day of riding at the back of bus, because you know they are the "older" kids now. I know, I know, sniffle, sniffle.

Lazy Sunday. I've learned that total pleasure is a good book, a soft couch, and a cat curled up bedside you.

The morning rush. Most mornings, I am hustling myself and two kids out the door, running late, racing against the clock, rushing down the sidewalk to get loaded in the car and drive off to work. But, this morning, I just so happened to turn my head and notice exactly how beautiful the rose bushes were bathing in the morning sunlight.

So, this seems to be the story of my life right now...always in hurry, always rushing here and there and everywhere...always running late to get no where special...sometimes, stopping to smell those roses isn't so bad afterall. And, most definitely something I must try and do more often.

Eight months later...Finally, I am able to say that I have finished going through thousands of vacation pictures from Cocoa Beach taken waaaayyyy back in January. And, I thought the most easiest way of sharing some of my most favorite was just to put them in a little slideshow, because I calculated that if I would want to get all of them printed out it was cost me over $300.00. YIKES!! Ha!! I tried to put them in order a little, starting with the first day we stayed in Baltimore where we made good use of the hotel's swimming pool. Then, the next morning we drove in the snow to the airport for the kid's to experience their first ever plane ride. Arriving in Orlando, a sunny 80 degrees to spend the rest of the week in sun, sand and surf. So, to view some memories, click play below!!

Looking back. I snapped this while driving home tonight from the football field. The sun setting behind us in the car was amazingly, beautiful tonight. So, it is another one of my "drive by" shots.

103 degrees.
She chose her wedding day...a very cool date 07.07.2012. And, it would be a memorable one indeed. A very memorable one, because only Heidi could make 103 degrees look so beautiful.

My definition of summer. Each fairy breath of summer, as it blows with loveliness, inspires the blushing rose.

Just for the record, I would love to move to the South. Particularly, South Carolina or perhaps Georgia!! It reminds me of long, hot summer days out on a beautiful plantation with huge weeping trees with moss blowing in the breeze surrounded by peach orchards...

And, this reminds me of big wrap around porches with white porch swings and sipping ice tea...yup, my true definition of summer. And, she was my inspiration!
