Puddle jumper.
Just look at that face. You already knew what she was thinking the minute she saw it.
Enough said.

Happy.
Sometimes its the small things in this crazy life that really make me happy. Like the fact that I am 34 years old, and my mother still knows that a pair of funky rainboots would make me so happy. She's just the best. (Thanks Mom, I love you).
And, they were just perfect wearing them out in this rainy, spring weather taking pictures and not worrying about wet, muddy feet.
Yes, happy that I can be out there discovering pretty things among the raindrops.

She's eight.
Today she turns eight. Eight?? Wait.... eight? How can that be? I know every parent says how time flies, but it is really so true.
So today, we celebrated by making banana splits. We went to the grocery store and gathered all the makings for really good banana splits.
It also helps when your Daddy (back in his high school days) used to work at the local Dairy Queen and can show you the right way to cut the bananas and make the "perfect" birthday banana split.
Can't forget the cherries on top!
Oh yea, and the whipped cream. Lots and lots of whipped cream. Straight out of the can. She can do that.....because it's her birthday.
And, he can do it just because it's not his birthday. Happy eighth birthday sweet baby girl.
